Since 1991 RJI has provided opportunities for thousands of volunteers from around the world to participate in more than  540 social, community and environmental development projects and more than 2.800 interventions,  This has enabled us to promote cultural diversity with sustainable human development.

We are celebrating our 20 anniversary for 2012  with the new image of our organization, new destinations and the official opening of the volunteer market across United States of America

RJI begins their 20th Anniversary celebrations with a Youth Day celebration in a park located in Tres Rios in the province of Cartago on May 1st 2011. They counted with the presentation of performances by local dance, bands and theatre groups as well as with the participation of development associations that displayed their products for sale.

The second activity of the 20^th Anniversary involved a large donation from the Kellogg Foundation on August 2011 which gave over 50 thousand Kellogs products which were disbursed by RJI to civil organizations such as

On January 2012 Kellogg Foundation gave us again over 7.200 thousand Kellogg products which were disbursed by RJI to other civil organizations.

The culmination of the festivities was a fundraising dinner to raise funds for a scholarship fund which will be used to give young people from all over the region the opportunity to have a volunteering experience that will change the world.
