Project Summary:
The project in Mexico is located in an Orphanage in the way out of Mexico City. The Home currently shelters 33 children, aged between three and eighteen.This institution was founded with a very clear goal: that those children who arrive at their new home receive the love that they've lost, live in a balanced environment full of warmth and affection and enjoy live; that they show enthusiasm and enjoy the security of a home in order to provide them with the necessary background to so that they can establish constructive relationships with other people in the future, succeed academically and in their careers, become productive and have the ability to adapt to changes.
Volunteer work:
You will have the opportunity to participate in painting and decoration, help the staff to take care of the children, recreational activities for the kids, gardening; and education and skills development.Location:
The project is located 2 and half hours drive from Mexico City, in the road to Veracruz at San Joaquin, Texococo.Accommodation and Food
You will be living with the foster parents it’s a house located within the orphanage area, but separated from the kid houses. You will eat Mexican dishes should be expected (beans, tacos, tortillas and fruits.) Breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided by the host family.
Travel Arrangements and Transportation
Booking air travel to your destination is your responsibility, but we are more than happy to help you as needed. For domestic traveling and specific logistics RJI will provide the respective information at the time.Dates, duration and Participation

General Requirements
Spanish is desired but not mandatory. The most important requirement its to bring a positive attitude, be willing to get involved in our Central America culture. You must love the outdoors and not mind working in any weather, be easy going and be able to work alongside the local community. Much of your time will be spent with locals and families. Be ready to enjoy the experience. WELCOME.
