The mandate of a Youth Action Conference should be as follows:

To empower youths to experience quality life and attain their full potential through the provision of life skills education

To educate youth and raise awareness about local issues that youth face.

To provide a forum for the exchange of information and capacity building of local youth networks.
YAC and WAC
The Youth and Women Action Conference have brought a new element to the organization. They have provided us with a more integral way of having a positive impact.
A RJI Youth Action Conference is a 1-day youth development conference, which aims to bring youth, leaders and communities together to build capacities and skills in various areas.
RJI has been focussing on the following target population:
YOUTH:
Together with other experienced organizations, we coordinate workshops focussing on capacity building, social awareness and health awareness through the discussion of various topics, such as: sexuality, drug abuse and alcoholism, employment and studies opportunities, conflict resolution.
WOMEN:
We consider gender in community development programming, because we understand that women and men , universally, have different roles in society and these differences shape theirs opportunities.
Women conference expected to increased involvement in decision- making processes in families and communities . Improved opportunities and support for income generation activities for women.
Some of the topics of this activities are : self –esteem, domestic violence, sexual and reproductive health, small business opportunities, involvement of women in community decisions.
RJI coordinates and administers these conferences in cooperation with other NGO´s or government agencies, which help facilitate the content of the above-mentioned topics.
Thanks for the work and the effort of more than 150 volunteers, that these activities were completed in more than 20 different rural communities with the participation of more than 1500 people including youth and women.
