Niño Feliz is not just another house where abused, abandoned or orphan children are taken in and where they are expected to follow a set of rules which would restrict their normal behavior.

In 1990, Father Jose Luis founded this institution with a very clear goal: that those children who arrive at their new home receive the love that they've lost, live in a balanced environment full of warmth and affection and enjoy live; that they show enthusiasm and enjoy the security of a home in order to provide them with the necessary background to so that they can establish constructive relationships  with other people in the future

Planning special events
such as Variety Shows – Drama - Theater etc to raise funds to help support their family and the following Programs: Medical, Clothing, Transportation, Education and Food

To improve moral,  quality of life to promote human values, good relations within they’re life, home and environment - Topics:

Self-esteem

Youth Leadership

3 workshops

Cleanliness and hygiene Program

 

Some Infrastructure Work

Painting, Rebuilding and gardening.

To implement Publicity Campaign.

Creating and designing Brochures

What makes a good volunteer for this Program

The most effective volunteers come to AH with a positive life-loving attitude, a strong work ethic, flexibility, realism and a sense of humor. We also seek candidates whose main motive is to help the children and be models.

• Volunteers will be leaving in La Casa , is a big property , very safe always bustling with activity; it is located in the small village of San Joaquin . Running water, electricity and mattress available.

Restrictions No full body tattoos or more than 3 visible pierced body parts.  They are allowed to have small to medium tattoos and piercing but please remained that in Latin America, this kind of self presentation can ruin chances for a job. Please remember, that we accept volunteers only if we are convinced that they will be good for the children. We are not judging them as people, only as role models for children.
