Creating Employment and Entrepreneurship Opportunities for Matagalpa Youth people in Nicaragua

Community: Matiguas - Matagalpa
The present project is taking place at the Indigenous Reserve of Quirraguas, Matagalpa Province in Nicaragua-Central America.
The local families are mostly farmers with traditional production, small cattle ranches cultures of coffee, basic cacao, grains and vegetables in small scale. Quirraguas it is an important reserve in the humid tropic, with a territorial extension of 10.000 has and elevations between 800 y 1200 meters on the level of the sea.
This Program will be a special combination between a research and field work the research has as principal objective the study of the youth problematic from the perspective of the sustainable development and to implement creative processes to help this people such as:
This program is development by ANIDES -Nicaraguan Sustainable and development Association and -Reto Juvenil Costa Rica to assist in the planning and development of matagalpa youth people.

The Project Results
Primary roles of YCI volunteers
The group arrives in Managua Nicaragua one of the poor countries in Latin America, for week and a half they were living in Quirraguas, familiarizing in the community there, announcing and negociatives a youth Conference with the idea to create The First Matiguas Youth Association, to perform archeological excavations and the main idea is to collect the maximum of archeological pieces to start building the first rural museum in Nicaragua at the end of 2007, this museum will be management to be manage by the youth association.
