"Hogarcito de Niños" is a community-based association supported by the Lion’s Club that provides an alternate housing center for children suffering psychological and / or physical abuse. If after the first period in the center, the parents have not changed their abusive behavior, the children are moved to an orphanage in San José.

Here, they will undergo an adoption process, where they will be placed with families that can provide them with the love and care they deserve.

Volunteer work:

Volunteers will work directly with the children in games, physical therapy, acting classes, arts, hand crafts and tutoring, as well as pursuing activities to get money for children support. Also any skills services that can be shared with the population will be greatly appreciated.
