Thank You Letter 2024

Dear friends,

As we enter a new year, I want to take a moment of time to share encouraging news from our work in the field and to share the accomplishments Reto Juvenil Internacional has made in 2023.

The most exciting news is our work in Indigenous areas, providing electricity for the first time in more than 50 years and connecting indigenous students with up-to-date education through internet access, changingmany lives! Recent data from our partners on the ground have shown a 96.4% improvement in children’s education since we began supporting them.

Throughout 2023, I witnessed 2 partner schools double the quality of their education thanks to hands-on support from Reto Juvenil Internacional. This dramatic increase in education resulted in children receiving life-changing support in some of the poorest areas in Costa Rica, Nicaragua y Guatemala including areas where immigrants and refugee children live,  from Training in Mexico: Queretaro, Estado de Mexico, Baja California and Tlalpa,  Gasper, Wyoming in  USA and Costa Rica to  food donations to feed children in Costa Rica, Guatemala and Nicaragua, clothes donations, Medicines, and this improved quality was due to the high quality work between us and University Of Toronto, University of Connecticut, University of Costa Rica, Costa Rica Ministry of Public Education, The National Children's Trust's (PANI),  Donors, past and new Partners, Nicaragua and Spain Congregations, Volunteers and our Board.

While there is much to be thankful in the past year of work, we are also looking towards our Vision to scale our impact this 2024! Improving educational support is crucial for the success of our programmatic work and we’ve made strides due to our forward looking strategic outputs. We are unmatched in our educational programs.

In this celebratory time of the New Year, I look back upon 2023 and the great successes we’ve had and look forward to 2024 and what’s in front of us. There is much be thankful for and much to be excited to look towards.
